E-Verification
New Century Software uses the e-verify process to compare information from an employee’s I-9 form to the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). E-verification is required by E-verification will be completed on all newly hired employees at New Century Software. A final offer of employment is dependent upon verification of your authorization to work in the United States.

Background Screening
New Century Software requires all applicants to conduct a pre-employment background investigation in conjunction with the application for employment. Candidates will be asked to consent to such check after being offered the position (and prior to finalization of the employment decision). Failure to consent to a background check will disqualify the candidate from employment. A candidate who fails to provide the necessary information or who provides false or misleading information may be disqualified from further consideration. A final offer of employment is subject to the successful completion of the background check. Later discovery of false or misleading information related to the background check may subject the employee to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. New Century Software complies with all applicable federal and state laws governing background screening including Fair Credit reporting Act and Adverse Action Procedures.

DOT Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Testing
Federal law mandates that newly hired and current employees performing or supervising certain pipeline related job tasks, submit to and pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) compliant drug and alcohol test as a condition of employment. Employees are also tested randomly based on a rate determined by the DOT. The current rate is 25% to be tested randomly throughout the year. Prohibited/tested substances are marijuana metabolites, cocaine metabolites, opiate metabolites (including codeine and morphine), PCP, amphetamines. The DOT prohibits marijuana use by covered employees, regardless of state legality or medical prescription. Failure to consent to a DOT drug and alcohol test will disqualify the candidate from employment. A final offer of employment is subject to the successful completion of the drug and alcohol test.
